My Relationship with Opinion Openers

Over the past two years, I have notice a trend in the community at with least gurus or people trying to sell products, that has been to push the term "natural" or promotion lines such as "You Don't Need Lines" or even to outright bash other companies and gurus that teach opinion openers or canned openers.

The problems that I have with folks doing that is that at the same time in promotion or advertisement, they are saying "I'm ... from the Game". It's kind of ironic that someone who has participated in the community and use structured game, opinion openers, and canned materials to be trying to sell you on not doing the things they did to become the "naturals" that they are now.

As for me, I absolutely hate opinion openers, if fact I hate opening, but I open sets and I use opinion openers. Why? Because you can't get the girl, if you don't open. A genuine opinion opener engages you into a real conversation with an attractive woman or a group of attractive women, even a canned opinion opener that has been on the internet for ten years does the same thing.

I ran the Gay Cats Opener for a month before I started getting any type of positive response, but each time I did it learned something new about how I was approaching such as those annoying little nuances that you should be paying attention such as vocal projection and body language.

At least for me, without that experience I would learn many subtle little things that actually opens a set versus the words that are being said.

I have five open opinion openers that I came up with that are really genuine and unique to me that help me gain some insight to the people opening or talking to and I also have five canned opinion openers memorized that I use when my mind goes blank.

Yet, I hate still hate opinion openers and opening. But you gotta do what you gotta do if you wanna get whatcha want.

Are you serious? What ever happened to just being who you are? Do you really NEED any 'opener' other than 'Hello'?

Hey Elle :) I did some looking into this and it turns out that the game (I just lost the game) is sort of like the art of picking up girls. I personally don't really like the idea of this, being a girl who would much rather an honest, long lasting and meaningful relationship than being picked up and manipulated...but I can see the merit of this lifestyle: improved self confidence.

Opinion openers are fine way to introduce a topic into conversation...

I'm no expert on PUA but what other kind of openers other than opinion openers are there? From reading this entry of yours I can assume that they are the best so I guess that's good as they are the only kind of openers that I use and have heard of. But yes, I agree with you, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

@ Elle

You don't need an opener per say, but it gives a guy confidence to approach because he knows he has a routine to fall back on to avoid awkward moments and such.

and yes, ideally, "hello" should be the only opener, but if you ask any guy out there who has had experience with women; "hello" has a much lower success rate than many other openers

There's really no such thing such as "natural" game. Structure is everywhere even outside "pua".

So yeah. I also agree that opinion openers are somehow effective.

A person really needs to experiment in order to explore.

Can you give us some of your examples of opinion openers?

I honestly started off using any opinion openers I could find on a site. But now I honestly don't think about using them a "hey, my name is Peter, I thought you were cute and I wanted to meet you" just worked for me now.

I do daygame in taiwan, and i'm amazed at all the taiwanese guys who read mystery method then try out lame opinion openers during daygame. it just comes across as unnatural and lame.
